Black Eyed Gloriosa Daisies

by Bertha
(USA)

These annual flowers are so beautiful! The contrast between the yellow flower petals and the dark center make the flower really stand out from the rest. There are many shades of this flower like yellow, orange and mahogany.

This is a flower that can grow in conditions that possibly might cause other tender flowers not to thrive. This plant does not need the best of soil and does not have to be watered each day in order to produce beautiful flowers. This is definitely a plus when it comes to people that do not have a green thumb.

For individuals that live in sunny climates, this is the ideal environment for this plant. The more sun, the better. If you are located in a rainy damp climate, this flower will not survive that well.

This daisy will capture your attention when it is added to a flower bed. If you mix the different colors together, you will create a view that any camera would want to capture. What I like the most about this flower is the dark center. The contrast between the dark center and the color of the petals is a beautiful thing.

Since this type of daisy is kind of tall, it is better have it in a flowerbed with flowers of all sizes. Or you can group them all together, just with some type of deep green grass with colorful bricks around them. Because they are so easy to grow, it makes them the flower of choice.
