Black-eyed Susans

by Cindy
(Chaska, MN, USA)

I have 3 perennial gardens in my yard. I look for plants that have interesting features like colorful flowers, foliage, or seeds to feed birds. I love Black-eyed Susans because they will grow for the whole summer season and drop their seeds, promoting more growth. Once you get a hearty patch going, they will really spread and make a great contrast to ornamental grasses. They are a real asset to any perennial garden!
