The Possibilities of Hosting a Flower Garden Planning Party

Flower garden planning can get easier if you have some other gardeners to share your ideas with. Better yet, maybe some of your aquaintances don't know that you enjoy gardening and they might be looking for someone to share their divided bulbs, plant clippings and flower seeds with.

The Invitation

To get it started, ask around and find out whom you already know that plants flower gardens. Once you have list, make up invitations to a planning get-together.

Be sure to note on the invitation for attendees to bring photos if they have some, books about flower gardening and other resources such as a flower encyclopedia , a garden seed catalog or a flower and garden magazine.

Decorations

You may want to decorate the meeting place with flower related things, or if it is warm outside, you may actually have the party in your flower garden.

Of course, when you have guests you will be serving something, so you might need some paper goods. Flower image placemats are an excellent addition to décor.

Entertainment Ideas

Chatting about flowers and sharing flower garden ideas and resources will take up most of the time; however, you might consider watching some gardening videos to get things started.

You and your guests can draw sketches of your garden plans as you come up with ideas.

If it seems that your new gardening buddies enjoy getting together, you might suggest starting a flower garden club and meeting from time to time to share photographs of flowers or engage in flower related crafts such as scrapbooking, quilting flower quilts like the Grandmothers Flower Garden Quilt or making flower bouquets .

You can even implement a book exchange to minimize the expense of learning about flowers.

Do you have any ideas for flower garden club activities?
