Who is Jacques Cousteau and What Does He Have to Do With Flower Gardens?

Jacques Cousteau is most known as an underwater explorer who studied underwater life. He was an ecologist and scientist, as well as an author and filmmaker. He supported marine conversation and preservation in a non-profit manner. He was an innovator concerning modern underwater diving. You can read his biography at Wikipedia



What did he have to do with flowers?

Cousteau was very interested in preserving our environment. Although most of his studies involved marine life with his renowned fascination for the sea, he was also dedicated to defending the environment and he was set on creating environmental awareness.

He coauthored a book with Susan Schiefelbein and Bill McKibben titled “The Human, the Orchid, and the Octopus: Exploring and Conserving Our Natural World”, as part of his effort in increasing environmental awareness.

If you are interested in conserving the environment, or if you are fascinated by orchid plants , you might find this book to be extremely enjoyable. The orchid and the octopus are symbolisms of things that we cannot replace if we don’t protect our natural world.

He has written several books and many books have been written about him and his contribution to nature.

He also produced many documentaries that are of great interest. Overall, he was a very remarkable man.
