Perennial Flower Garden
Design Tips

When planning a perennial flower garden design don’t be afraid of adding annual flowers amongst your perennial plants .

A perennial flower garden is a preference of many gardeners because the plants return year after year which means less work and savings on the finances, but it is okay to mix annuals and perennials in the same garden.

lillies To keep your perennial garden blooming all season, plant a mixture of the following flowers…

Early Bloomers

Mid-Season Bloomers

  • Daylillies
  • Daisies
  • Coralbells
  • Baby’s Breath

Late-Season Bloomers

  • Coneflowers
  • Goldenrods
  • Asters
  • Chrysanthemums

With a balance of these perennials the garden will thrive throughout blooming season with beautiful flowers. You won’t have a flower garden with just greenery.

If you add annuals to them, you are destined to have a dazzling garden. Annual flowers are great for making flowerbed borders and they are easy to use to fill in the gaps.
